The three aspherical elements diminish any distortion or spherical aberrations, while the two ED elements minimise chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. Add to this the Super Integrated Nano-Crystal Coating, and you have a picture that has excellent clarity, accurate colour rendering, and sharp imagery with no ghosting or lens flares.

The lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.25 m (0.82 ft) and a fixed focal length of 35 mm.
