Seeing spots on your images?

Dust particles can find their way into your compact camera, usually by being vacuumed in by the lens, or by changing lenses in a dusty environment. The dust often settles onto the sensitive CCD sensor filter of your DSLR or mirrorless camera which can cause these unsightly spots or lines to appear in your final photographs. Editing these out these spots can be time consuming, which is why we recommend a professional to service and clean your mirrorless or DSLR back to factory specification.

Spots or marks in the viewfinder of your DSLR camera

If you see spots in the viewfinder of the camera this typically means that the dust has settled in the internal mirror assembly. These spots do not appear in your photograph. We will attempt to remove these spots using clean, compressed air, however, we cannot gurantee to remove all of them as they can settle deep in the camera due to many air currents. If you would like the spots or marks in your viewfinder removed, please indicate so on the repair form so we can quote you for a deep clean service.

Dust under the CCD filter

Unfortunately, in some cases, dust can settle deep into the camera below the CCD sensor filter. We will advise you if a deep clean for your camera is required and will seek your approval before going ahead. Cleaning behind the filter is a time consuming and delicate process which can take up to 2 weeks to complete.

Damaged/marked sensors
In the case your sensor has any unremovable marks or damage, we will contact you for approval for any repairs or extra parts required.
