Key Features

• Focus on your subjects quickly using a Wave Motor AF system or use a handy and intuitive manual focus system.
• Get better colours, contrast and clarity because of aspherical elements, one Super ED and three ED elements.
• The lens can also be used with APS-C models, in which it offers a focal length equivalent of 18-36mm.

By using an ultra-wide zoom lens like the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G, you will add many stunning pictures to your portfolio. Photos taken with wide lenses have a unique charm of their own since these perspectives are not naturally visible to the human eye. This lens is compatible with Sony's full-frame E-mount mirrorless models and offers a maximum aperture of f/4.

The lens incorporates low dispersion and aspherical glass elements that help minimise chromatic and spherical aberrations, thus producing clear and sharp pictures. Individual elements come with a Nano AR Coating that improves the colour and contrast of the images by reducing flares and ghosting. Made with a design that is moisture and dustproof, you will be able to use it in rough weather conditions. The use of rubberised control rings facilitates its operation in colder temperatures.

Sharp and True Imaging

This full-frame lens employs 17 Elements in 13 Groups, along with seven rounded diaphragm blades. With a minimum focus distance of 11.02" (28 cm), the lens has an aperture ranging between f/4 and f/22.

When it comes to focusing, the system performance is fast, and you get a perfect picture with every snap. Be it auto-focus or manual focus the lens outshines its expectations. Better colour and lighting reproduction is possible because of the aspherical, ED and Super ED elements, which are complemented by a Nano AR Coating.

Fast Autofocus

The Autofocus system on the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G is its greatest strength. Besides an internal focus mechanism, it implements a Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor AF system. It helps to produce pictures that retain a lot of detail and colours. The system's performance under low lighting conditions is also exemplary. The lens comes with a focus hold switch that lets you exercise more control over your pictures.

The other aspects of the lens worth talking about are its treatment of the corners and edges of a picture. A level of distortion is experienced with a wide lens. However, the quality of a photograph taken using this lens will appear to be consistent across the corners with a minimum loss of textures and detail.
