Key Features

• Includes three aspherical and one UD glass elements.
• Quick, silent and accurate focus using the Nano USM focus motor.
• Versatile focal range.

The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens is the perfect, versatile choice for the Canon R-series cameras. It has a quick and accurate autofocus, a wide-ranging focal length, solid build quality, superior image production and stabilisation features. All of these are complemented by a modest price, size and weight.

The lens makes use of internal weather sealing features that keep out water and dust. The back of the lens also has a rubber gasket around the bayonet mount to further weather-proof the lens body. Besides the anti-reflective materials, the rear and front elements are also coated with fluorine. This helps in repelling moisture, dirt and grease and lets you easily clean fingerprints and water drops from the glass.

Sharp and True Imaging

The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM delivers a consistently strong performance throughout the whole focal range. It comes with an optical image stabilisation system that is effective up to five stops. The stabilisation feature lets you capture sharper pictures, especially at the higher focal range where the image is prone to capturing motion blur.

The optical system of the lens includes 18 elements in 14 lens groups. They include one UD glass element and three aspherical glass elements. These elements help in reducing distortions and aberrations in your images so that they can achieve the best quality. The minimum focus distance of the lens is 17.7 inches (0.45 m).

Fast Autofocus

The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is the first lens in the L-series to include the Nano USM motor instead of the Ring USM focus motor. The Nano USM focus motor combines the best features of the several older technologies. It offers the quietness and smoothness of the STM (Stepping Motor) and the speed of the Ring USM.

The lens performs well under low-light and is great at capturing fast-moving subjects. While working with Canon cameras, the lens can focus very quickly and lock on to the subjects with high accuracy.

The Nano USM is perfect for filmmaking. The lens delivers superior performance when combined with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Movie Servo AF in the Canon EOS R cameras. The lens also performs well in the manual focus mode. The Nano USM consists of a focus-by-wire manual focus design. This means that the manual focus ring electronically controls the lens's focus.
