The Canon Speedlite 430EX II is an on-camera flash for Canon EOS cameras. Canon gives it a guide number of 43 (141 ft) at 105mm and ISO 100, with flash coverage from 24mm to 105mm. It runs on four AA batteries.

Coverage and Wide Panel
The flash coverage can be set to match the lens focal length from 24mm to 105mm, automatically or manually. The built-in wide panel makes the coverage compatible with ultra wide-angle lenses as short as 14mm.
Exposure Control
The flash works with E-TTL II, E-TTL and TTL autoflash, and offers manual flash. Flash exposure compensation is ±3 stops in 1/3- or 1/2-stop increments, and high-speed sync is provided.
Bounce and Wireless Use
The head swings for bounce flash: up 0-90 degrees, left 0-180 degrees and right 0-90 degrees. It can be used on the camera or as part of a wireless flash system.
Power and Size
Four AA alkaline batteries give approx. 200 to 1400 flashes. The flash measures 72 x 122 x 101 mm and weighs approx. 320g, excluding batteries.
