Celestron CPC 1100 Deluxe EdgeHD Telescope

Technical Details: Celestron CPC Deluxe 1100 HD Computerised Telescope The CPC Deluxe 1100 HD marries unparalleled performance with boundless adaptability. Whether it's a relaxed evening of garden stargazing or intensive astroimaging in a pitch-black setting, this model is a firm favourite amongst customers for all uses.

The CPC/CPC Deluxe range is also the preferred telescope for NASA - a CPC 925 is currently in use on the International Space Station - and was the choice of the late astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who utilised his CPC Deluxe 1100HD at his Cambridge residence.

Key Features: EdgeHD Optical Performance Enhanced Light Transmission Stable and Portable Design Simple SkyAlign Setup Expandable Accessory Compatibility EdgeHD Optical Performance The CPC Deluxe HD delivers exceptional optical performance thanks to Celestron's proprietary EdgeHD optical system.

Designed to correct both coma and field curvature, the system produces sharp, aberration free images with pinpoint stars across the entire field of view. This advanced design maintains clarity right to the edge of wide eyepieces and across large imaging sensors, making it ideal for both visual observation and astrophotography.

Enhanced Light Transmission Every EdgeHD optical tube features StarBright XLT coatings across all optical surfaces to maximise light transmission and image brightness. These premium coatings help reveal greater detail and contrast when observing celestial objects. The optical tube is also Fastar compatible, allowing users to remove the secondary mirror and attach a compatible third party lens assembly for ultra fast f/2 imaging of the night sky.

Stable and Portable Design The CPC Deluxe HD combines a robust dual fork arm mount with a practical and transportable design. The heavy duty mount provides highly accurate tracking and stability during observation sessions, while integrated carrying handles make setup and transport more manageable. Despite its solid construction, the system is designed for quick assembly whether used at home, during astronomy courses, or at public observing events.

Simple SkyAlign Setup Setting up the CPC Deluxe HD is straightforward thanks to Celestron's SkyAlign technology. The telescope guides users through a simple alignment process by centring any three bright celestial objects in the eyepiece. Once aligned, the system can automatically locate and track more than 40,000 celestial objects, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced astronomers.

Expandable Accessory Compatibility The CPC Deluxe HD is compatible with a wide range of Celestron accessories, allowing users to tailor the telescope to their observing preferences. Adding the StarSense AutoAlign accessory enables automatic alignment in under three minutes, while the SkyQ Link 2 WiFi Module allows wireless control through a smartphone or tablet. This flexibility ensures the telescope can continue to grow alongside the user's interests, including advanced astroimaging applications.

Designed for Astrophotography Unlike many altazimuth telescopes designed primarily for visual observation, the CPC Deluxe HD is engineered with imaging performance in mind. Its reengineered drive train incorporates a 6 inch brass gear, stainless steel worm gear, and steel and nylon ball bearings for accurate tracking of up to 30 seconds without a wedge.

For long exposure astrophotography, pairing the telescope with the HD Pro Wedge enables precise polar alignment, advanced error correction, and smooth tracking through the meridian without requiring a meridian flip.
