The integrated leaf shutter supports speeds up to 1/4000 sec and flash synchronisation at all speeds, whilst the internal autofocus can be manually overridden for precise control. Key Features: Compact and Versatile Optical Design Fast Linear Stepping Motor Precise Night and Low-Light Capture Manual Focus Control Lightweight and Practical Construction Compact and Versatile Optical Design The lens incorporates four aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion. This design ensures exceptional image sharpness across the frame.

Paired with a large aperture, the balanced size and weight make the lens highly versatile for a range of photographic applications, from expansive landscapes to tight indoor compositions. Fast Linear Stepping Motor A lightweight, small focusing group works in tandem with a linear stepping motor to minimise recoil during focus adjustments. When combined with the PDAF technology of the X2D 100C or CFV 100C, this system delivers accurate, responsive autofocus performance, ensuring reliable focus even in challenging conditions.

Precise Night and Low-Light Capture The combination of wide aperture and leaf shutter flexibility allows photographers to shoot in low-light environments with minimal motion blur. This makes the lens particularly effective for nightscapes, urban streetscapes, and astrophotography, providing clarity and detail in challenging lighting. Manual Focus Control For creative and critical compositions, the internal autofocus system can be overridden manually.

This feature enables fine-tuned adjustments and precise control over depth of field, making the lens suitable for both artistic and technical photography. Lightweight and Practical Construction Despite its advanced optical design, the XCD 25mm f/2.5 V remains compact and lightweight, enhancing portability and handling. Its balance of performance, size, and ease of use ensures it is a reliable tool for photographers seeking high-quality wide-angle results in varied shooting environments.
