The Venus Optics Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Lite Zero-D MF Lens, designed for Nikon Z-mount, offers ultra-wide-angle coverage combined with exceptional optical clarity and minimal distortion, making it a prime choice for landscape, architectural, and property photography. Its Zero-D (Zero Distortion) optical design and a vast 122° field of view ensure sharp detail from corner to corner. The swift f/2.8 maximum aperture bolsters performance in low light and produces smooth, appealing bokeh, while the f/22 minimum aperture heightens depth and sharpness. The lens boasts a 14-blade diaphragm, creating a subtle, refined sun-star effect when capturing bright light sources. Specifically optimised for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras, the lens features a manual focus ring and a close minimum focusing distance of 5.5", providing creative versatility for both wide and close-up shots. Its compact 3 x 3.2" build and lightweight 0.4 kg design make it perfect for handheld shooting, as well as gimbal and drone setups. Comprising 16 elements in 9 groups-including 2 aspherical and 4 low-dispersion elements-it delivers high-resolution images with accurate colour and minimal aberration. The integrated 72mm filter thread facilitates easy use of filters for long exposures or creative control in the field.
