The AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G is a prime lens from Nikon with a 52.5mm-equivalent focal length made for DX-format cameras. The lens features a sleek body design, a regular field-of-view, and a wide aperture of f/1.8. The lens is quick and works well under challenging lighting conditions. It comes with superior control over the depth of field, which allows you to work with selective focusing techniques for isolating your subjects.

The lens features an F mount that is compatible with most DSLRs. It interacts with the camera body electronically through a series of contact pins. The aperture is controlled mechanically using a metal lever. The circumference of the mount has a rubber gasket that protects the lens against moisture and dust.

Sharp and True Imaging

The minimum focus distance of the Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Lens is 0.3m (1.0 ft). It has a fixed focal length of 35mm. The optical design of the lens includes 8 elements in 6 groups. They include one aspherical element to help reduce distortion and spherical aberrations in your pictures. Therefore, your images will have better clarity and sharpness. The individual elements of the lens come with a super integrated coating which helps in controlling ghosting and lens flare. They let you capture pictures with accurate colours and good contrast even under bright lighting conditions.

The maximum aperture of f/1.8 provides great low-light performance since the wide aperture will allow more light into your lens. This also means you will be able to use higher shutter speeds without losing the brightness and contrast in your pictures.

Fast Autofocus

The Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G Lens utilises a Silent Wave Motor for a silent, precise and fast autofocus performance. The autofocus also includes a full-time manual focus override feature accessible through the toggle button. The lens uses a rear focusing design, which moves only the rear lens group during focusing. This helps in maintaining the length of the lens and makes the focusing process super fast.

The rounded seven-blade diaphragm in the lens provides a pretty out of focus quality to your pictures. It helps you to work with selective focus techniques and shallow depth of field.
