The Nikon D90 is a 12.3-megapixel digital SLR with a DX-format CMOS sensor and the Nikon F mount. Nikon announced it on 27 August 2008, and it records 720p HD video at 24 frames per second. It is shown with an AF-S NIKKOR 18-200mm zoom lens.

The camera records 720p HD video at 24 fps with mono sound. Autofocus does not work while filming, and clips are limited to 2 GB and to between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on resolution.

The 11-point system uses the Multi-CAM 1000 module. In Live View, the camera offers face-detection autofocus.
Sensor and Shooting
ISO sensitivity runs from 200 to 3200 in 1/3 EV steps, with boost settings at 100 and 6400. Continuous shooting reaches 4.5 frames per second.
