Our expert's opinion

Small, Fast, and Versatile. Sitting between two prized focal lengths, 35mm and 50mm, the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Got strong points from each. It captures natural-looking portraits and close-ups like a 50mm, but it is also wide enough for shooting indoors, on the street, or in a crowd like a 25mm. On a DX-format Z camera, it has a field of view of 60mm*, another all-purpose focal length for everything from portraits to street photography. The Nikon Nikkor Z 40mm f/2 Prime Lens offers incredible value.
