Drawing from the legendary FM2, the Z f provides an immersive, intuitive experience through its painstakingly crafted controls. Precision-machined aluminium dials for shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation are engraved with markings, offering unrivalled manual control with a gratifying tactile response. The mechanical shutter produces a commanding click, while a dedicated monochrome mode provides two unique black-and-white options for immediate creative versatility.

The camera's electronic viewfinder, nestled within a prism-shaped design, pairs flawlessly with a 3.2-inch vari-angle LCD screen, enabling users to adjust focus points, track subjects, and switch display modes with ease. This fully articulating screen improves usability at high and low angles, supplemented by a sturdy magnesium alloy chassis for durability, and compatibility with optional accessories like the MC-N10 Remote Grip. At its heart, the Z f boasts a 24.5MP FX-Format BSI CMOS sensor, offering exceptional low-light performance and swift readout speeds for continuous shooting, video, and time-lapse recording.

Paired with the EXPEED 7 Image Processor, shared with the Z9 and Z8, it achieves rapid autofocus, a 30 fps burst rate, and a high-resolution 96MP mode through multi-exposure capture. The camera excels in video, offering oversampled UHD 4K recording up to 30p and 1080p at 120p for slow-motion playback, with up to 125 minutes of internal recording. Advanced autofocus with Deep Learning technology recognises a variety of subjects, from people to vehicles, while 5-axis in-body Vibration Reduction compensates for up to 8 stops of shake, ensuring sharp, stabilised results across stills and video.
