The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E-Mount is designed with an aperture range of f/16 to a maximum f/1.4, with a rounded aperture diaphragm consisting of 11 blades. It is composed of 19 elements in 15 groups, including one Special Low Dispersion glass, three FLDs, four aspherical lenses and Super Multilayer Coating, as well as water- and oil-repellent coating at the front element. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 30cm, 114.2-degree angle of view, and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:11.9.

Autofocus and Controls

The lens is equipped with an inner focusing system for sharp shots, and is compatible with high-speed autofocus. A High-response Linear Actuator provides fast, quiet and accurate AF. Controls include an aperture ring, aperture ring click switch, aperture ring lock switch, AFL button, MFL button and focus mode switch, with support for DMF, AF+MF and AF assist.

Construction and Dimensions

The lens includes a tripod socket to enhance stability, a lens heater retainer, a rear filter holder and a specially designed front cap with locking mechanism. It is built with polycarbonate Thermally Stable Composite and magnesium, with a dust- and splash-resistant structure. This lens measures 101.4mm diameter x 151.9mm length, and weighs approximately 1,160 grams.
