Exmor R Sensor and ISO Range

The Sony Alpha A7S III pairs an entirely new full-frame 12.1-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor with a standard ISO range of 80 to 102400, useful for videographers shooting handheld in low light.

4K and Full HD Video Recording

The BIONZ XR processing engine enables 10-bit 4:2:2 video recording at 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, and 240 frames per second in Full HD. There is no recording time limit in any movie mode, and improved heat dissipation allows over an hour of 4K60P recording on one battery.

Professional Video Features

The camera offers a full spectrum of professional video features, including 10-bit 4:2:2 colour sampling during internal recording, simultaneous output to three displays, a digital audio interface and improved weather sealing.

It provides users with a minimum aperture of f/22 and a maximum aperture of f/4. It also offers users with an angle of view of 94°-34° (35mm equivalent), 0.39x magnification ratio, and 20-70mm focal length. Its body is integrated with image stabilisation and features dust- and moisture-resistant design. It is built with 16 lens elements in 13 groups. Whether you go ultra-wide or up close, the Sony FE 20-70mm F4 G is for you. This camera lens enables users to capture moving images in a wide angle of view at 20mm, even with 16:9 ratio or 2:35:1. It is also perfect for close-up scenarios as close as 0.3m for wide and 0.25 for telephoto. This lens is equipped with Two XD (extreme dynamic) Linear Motors that provides accurate and precise focusing, even when doing shots of moving subjects. Moreover, this camera lens offers reduced focus breathing, which is beneficial when doing movies. When doing ultra-wide video shots, despite causing slightly reduced angle of view, the Active Mode offers smooth footages even when using cameras on handheld mode.
