Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM, Prime Lens

This Lens One of the few lenses that have the capability to isolate focus effectively, the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Prime Lens has indeed been built to stand out. This medium telephoto prime lens is characterized by its bright and sophisticated design. Compatible with medium telephoto prime designed for full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras, this lens also works well with APS-C models.

With the latter, it provides a 202.5mm equivalent focal length. The lens is part of Sony’s prestigious G Master series and is designed to deliver perfection. With remarkably high resolution and sharpness, the lens offers enhanced, impressive imagery.

Thanks to its inbuilt features, the lens has the capability to correct a wide variety of spherical as well as chromatic aberrations, further contributing to consistent image quality throughout the zoom range. Top Three Reasons We Think You Will Love The Lens Complimenting the overall optic design and structure, the lens is also known for its inclusion of an eleven blade circular diaphragm. This produces a smooth, soft-edged bokeh with selective focus imagery .

Despite the exceptional features it offers, the lens does not have a complicated layout at all. Instead, you have simple, easily understandable controls, using which you can easily navigate through the lens. For your ease, the lens has two strategically placed customizable focus buttons on the lens barrel.

With this, you have intuitive tactile control and rapid access to select, adjust and control the focus settings. With a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture and quick autofocus, the lens functions extremely well in varied lighting conditions. Especially in difficult lighting conditions, the lens offers a wealth of control over focus position, when using shallow depth of field techniques for shooting.

Sharp and True Imaging Thanks to the impressive lens design, you are ensured bright, vivid and crystal-clear imagery. The lens design features one XA element, which has superior surface precision. This gives you better control over astigmatism, field curvature, coma and other spherical elements.

Added to this, you have two extra-low dispersion elements, which includes one Super ED element. This further helps reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, promoting improved clarity and colour neutrality. Each of these elements is coated with a Nano AR coating.

This coating is applied to reduce surface reflections, flare and ghosting, thus improving colour rendering in strong lighting conditions. Fast Autofocus The lens is equipped with an XD Linear Motor system and internal focus mechanism. This provides a quick, precise and accurate focusing system while contributing to a more natural, intuitive manual focus control.

To quickly switch between the AF and MF modes, you have the tactfully placed AF/MF switch right on the lens barrel. The physical aperture ring can be de-clicked as required for smooth and silent aperture switching to benefit video applications too.
