The Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G Full Frame Lens offers a well-rounded shooting experience designed for every user in every genre. This incredible lens is distinguished by its ultra-compact form and speed. Taking advantage of the fast and consistent aperture values, the 7-blade aperture unit provides outstanding bokeh, and high-resolution performance, delivering stunning results for both photography and videography. Using aspherical and ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass elements to deliver sharp and detailed images and minimize and remove many common aberrations. The ED glass element effectively suppresses chromatic aberration and reduces colour fringing.

Impressive Optical Design

Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G Full Frame Lens is designed to achieve remarkable sharpness and high-resolution through the correction of a wide variety of spherical and chromatic aberrations. Benefitting both photography and cine applications, this lens offers a robust and intuitive-to-handle physical design. For improved colour neutrality and clarity, the extra-low dispersion element is offered in the lens design and helps to reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. The XA (Extreme Aspherical) elements are incorporated into the optical design and provide superior surface precision for effective control over distortion, astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other spherical aberrations for a top-level degree of sharpness and accurate rendering. It also offers Nano AR Coating II, this feature has been applied to reduce surface reflections, flare, and ghosting for increased contrast and colour rendering in strong lighting conditions.

Remarkable Construction and Features

The moisture and dust-sealed design allow you to work in inclement conditions. The rubberized control rings benefit handling in colder temperatures. The fluorine-coated front element resists moisture, dust, and fingerprints and is very easy to clean. A focus hold button is offered on the lens barrel for intuitive tactile control and rapid access to select settings. Finally, the two XD Linear Motors, along with an internal focusing design, delivers quiet, quick, and precise autofocus performance. This feature contributes to more natural, intuitive Linear Response manual focus control, and an AF/MF switch is located on the lens barrel for tactile control over this setting.
