The Zoom Livetrak L-20R is a 20-input digital mixer and multi-track recorder, suited to studio recording, live performances, band rehearsals and podcasts. Unlike the similar L-20, it drops the faders and is both portable and rack-mountable, supplied with rack ears for mounting in a rack case. It supports iPad control, letting the FOH engineer and up to six musicians set their own monitor mix over iPads, adjusting levels, EQ and channel effects. The mixer offers 16 mono channels with combo mic/line XLR-1/4" inputs, high-gain low-noise mic preamps, a one-knob compressor and +48V phantom power; channels 1-2 add Hi-Z inputs for guitars and basses, and two stereo channels offer dual 1/4" and RCA inputs. Every channel runs through an on-board strip with a low-cut filter, 3-band EQ, pan control and two send FX, feeding the 20 built-in effects processors. Outputs are balanced XLR mains plus six balanced TRS 1/4" monitor outputs, each with its own customised mix. The built-in SD recorder captures every channel plus the master fader stereo signal, 22 tracks at up to 24-bit/96kHz, ready to copy to a computer for use in a DAW.
